Recruiter II

Location: SFO, Chicago, Phoenix, NYC (Hybrid) - (Report to office Tuesday to Thursday)

Duration: 6 months


Top 3 job responsibilities:


1. Creative & Proficient Sourcing

The recruiter must source top talent within the fields of: Program Management; Operations; Strategy & Planning; and Data Analyst, particularly those that can apply themselves with AI in their respective fields, while navigating a highly competitive market (competing with Meta, Amazon, OpenAI). They must go beyond standard sourcing methods and be strategic to find the needle in a haystack.


2.Strategic Selling & Relationship Building

The candidate must possess advanced selling and negotiation skills to effectively recruit candidates who may have significantly higher offers elsewhere.This requires deep relationship building to understand and leverage a candidate's motivators and career aspirations.


3. Full-Cycle Management & Business Acumen

As a full-cycle recruiter with no sourcing partner, they must strategically manage their time across all phases (sourcing, strategy, managing between 20 different senior roles/pipelines, while also attending to providing our senior leaders with weekly updates, and of course, closing the candidate). They also need to be able to "connect the dots" between the business charter and the talent required with minimal managerial oversight, to then translate the highlights to candidates as a way to engage them for the right team/role.

Mandatory requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience as a full cycle Recruiter and direct experience with Sourcing. Recruiter needs to understand that they are going to be expected to hit the clear, defined KPI’s monthly and quarterly. Someone who is extremely organized, professional and who can manage their time with little direction.

This role is recruiting and sourcing corporate leadership positions. Recruiters in this space will be navigating complexities of stakeholders who are hands on and high touch. Attention to detail and communication is crucial to be successful.

About the Team:

We are looking for a Senior Recruiter to support our Community Operations division across the U.S. and Canada. As a Senior Recruiter, you will partner with our business leaders to build a world class customer support organization, by designing and executing on a hiring strategy to attract, engage, and hire the right minds that are committed to providing a world class customer experience. You will be focused in attracting, engaging, and retaining our senior talent that is tasked with building what the customer experience looks like at Uber.

What You'll Do:

Guides the stakeholder through unique situations, sensitivities, and competing priorities using thoughtful business-backed and empathetic solutions Regularly assesses data to ensure reliability via established dashboards and reports Communicates complex data into comprehensive narratives Uses market knowledge to advise Hiring Managers on potential bottlenecks and develops a strategy to influence the candidates’ decision to join Understands interdependencies between functions (e.g. Mobility, Comp, Immigration, etc.) and adjusts recruiting strategy to align Continuously reviews the assessment process and proactively realigns with Hiring Managers when faced with bottlenecks Solid understanding of talent distribution via talent mapping, and uses this knowledge to develop and tailor effective pipeline strategies Basic


Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications or similar preferred

5 years of experience in recruiting

Experience with ICIMS or other ATS

Experience in full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment

Previous operations or customer service recruiting experience is a plus

Experience interpreting data and using it to guide hiring decisions

Has partnered with a wide variety of clients, including senior-level business leaders and seasoned professional candidates

Has experience hiring in an organization focused on cultivating a diverse workforce
