Fiber Optic Splicing Technician:
We are a premier fiber optics services organization, based in Orange County, California looking for a lead fiber splicing technician to join our team. We are looking for a motivated individual that wants to share their knowledge and gain additional skills as we grow together.
The work involves extensive travel, deployments from 1-2 weeks or 1-2 months are to be expected, so the willingness to travel to remote locations for work is essential for a successful candidate. While traveling there is typically plenty of overtime, 50-60 hour work weeks are normal. The work schedule is based on construction cycles, where we typically we have 1-2 Months of long days followed by a period of time off until the next phase of construction begins.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Extensive travel is required, 1-2 Month deployments are common, many of our job sites are located out of state at solar, wind, & power plants which are under construction.
- Splice fiber optic cables using fusion splicing equipment
- Certify fiber splices with OTDR and dB Loss testers
- Splice fiber in wall and rack mount fiber patch panels
- Represent Company at the jobsite
Qualifications and Skills
- 1-2 Month deployments out of state are common, must be able to accommodate this within 1-week notice. Travel costs covered by Employer.
- Ability to safely work from heights, up to 50’ in bucket truck or ladder
- Understand fiber splicing schematics
- Proficient in the use of fiber test and splicing equipment
- Requires background check, drug test, & valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record
