Job Summary
Responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes. They will document findings, identify deficiencies, and work closely with customers and internal teams to schedule repairs or upgrades as needed. This role helps ensure life safety and code compliance across various commercial and residential properties.
Essential Duties
- Conducting fire sprinkler system inspections.
- Documenting all results in detailed building reports and/or deficiency reports through a tablet.
- Interacting with building owner/property manager before, during, and after the inspection.
- Communication with other departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Training less experienced/newer colleagues on the job.
- Always exhibiting exceptional customer service and professionalism.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to report to multiple jobsites in one day
- Have in-depth knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, codes, and standards including NFPA codes and local building and fire codes
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and design drawings.
- Basic math skills.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Safety/Physical Requirements
- Ability to continuously walk and stand.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Position requires continuous walking, squatting, bending, climbing, and lifting.
Related Experience
- Previous experience in fire sprinkler systems inspections
Education
- Must be able to obtain applicable state and/or local required industry licenses as required by state law.
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Reports to: Division Manager
Supervisory: This position does not have any direct reports
Pay Rate: $21.00-$35.00
Classification: Non-exempt, Full Time, In Person
