Job Overview
RLD Sustain Construction Company is a vertically integrated builder. We will operate with W‑2 employees only, strict forty‑hour maximums per employee, three shifts per day, six days per week, and no subcontracted core trades. We will execute against Board‑approved master schedules and critical‑path milestones.
Role Summary
We will appoint a Division President to lead Residential Retrofit, delivering full‑scope upgrades and rehabilitations, including designated full‑gut rehabs, rooftop solar, sand‑battery storage, and heat‑pump integration where applicable. The Division President will report to the President & CEO and will be accountable for schedule, safety, quality, budget discipline, homeowner coordination, and talent development across multi‑region field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead division execution against Board‑approved schedules with portfolio/PMO governance and critical‑path recovery.
- Enforce our W‑2 labor doctrine, strict forty‑hour caps, three‑shift operations, and no‑subcontractor policy for core trades.
- Oversee full gut remodeling of single‑ and multi‑family residential properties and field installation of rooftop solar, sand batteries, and geo‑thermal heat‑pump/MEP upgrades; maintain code compliance and documentation.
- Direct audit‑grade scoping, permitting, inspections, and closeout packages suitable for financing and carbon accounting.
- Manage cost control, procurement, materials logistics, and document control; minimize rework and punch‑list backlog.
- Coordinate building‑line interfaces with the Site Infrastructure Division when exterior utilities or grading touch the boundary; execute readiness/acceptance certificates.
- Establish homeowner communication standards for occupied units; ensure safety, cleanliness, access control, and schedule transparency.
- Recruit, develop, and retain regional managers, superintendents, project managers, auditors, and installation crews; uphold safety leadership and training.
Required Experience
Demonstrated success leading large‑scale residential retrofit or rehabilitation programs across multiple regions; hands‑on command of occupied‑home protocols, schedule control, safety leadership, commissioning/closeout, and PMO field reporting; and proven ability to scale W‑2 field operations across multiple trades with a three‑shift, six‑day operating model.
Core Qualifications
Mastery of program/project portfolio management, budget and cost controls, contract and risk management, and change management; authority, lender, insurer, and utility coordination; strong stakeholder communication with homeowners and community partners; and a track record of building high‑performing field teams with low rework, callback, and warranty rates.
Technical Background (Preferred)
Construction management or engineering degree with professional credential preferred; experience integrating renewable‑energy and storage systems and HVAC/MEP upgrades into existing residential structures; familiarity with commissioning standards, readiness/acceptance certification, blower‑door/testing protocols, and enterprise document control.
Compensation Policy (Cash‑Only)
