Job Role: Information Technology Consultant
Location: City of Wildwood,NJ
Duration- Long Term Contract
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with Edmunds & Associates software systems (Finance, Tax, Payroll, and Procurement modules).
- Strong background in municipal IT environments, including public safety systems such as Enforsys, Lawsoft, Axon, and MUNIDEX.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience with computer networking, servers, and hardware troubleshooting.
Scope of Services / Key Responsibilities:
- Provide unlimited remote and on-site IT support to all City departments.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade municipal software and hardware systems, including Edmunds & Associates, Timekeeping, and HR systems.
- Manage servers, networks, firewalls, data backups, and cybersecurity protection systems.
- Support municipal systems including Police and Fire networks, Mobile Data Terminals, Axon Body Cameras, and Gasboy fuel systems.
- Configure and maintain VMWare ESX servers and virtual machines.
- Maintain ThreatDown Endpoint Protection, cloud backup, and spam filtering.
- Provide end-user support, training, and performance tuning recommendations.
- Collaborate with City officials for IT project management, upgrades, and documentation.
- Ensure CJIS, HIPAA, and local cybersecurity compliance.
Certifications (Minimum Required):
- CompTIA A Certified Technician (Active)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2002 or newer)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- CompTIA Security / Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- ITIL Foundation / PMP (Preferred)
Pay: $50.06 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
Salary : $50 - $60
