Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist plasterers with the installation of plaster, stucco, EIFS, and other commercial wall systems.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Mix plaster, mortar, cement, and other materials according to specifications.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces, installing protective coverings, and setting up equipment.
- Install lath, flashing, corner bead, and other accessories under the direction of skilled plasterers.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Set up, move, and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and work platforms.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and job sites throughout the workday.
- Remove debris and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company and job site requirements.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and crew leaders to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Comply with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Work collaboratively with plasterers, carpenters, general contractors, and other trades on commercial construction sites.
- Previous construction or labor experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn commercial plastering techniques and construction practices.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work overhead for extended periods.
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Experience in commercial construction, plastering, masonry, drywall, or stucco.
- OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain after hire).
