Qualifications & Education3 years of experience in LMR / RF Systems, or IT systems.2-year degree in electronics preferred but not required. Employer will also accept 3-8 years relevant work experience in lieu of a 2 Year degree.Knowledge of RF Systems such as transmitters, receivers, microwave systems, & antenna networks or knowledge on IT systems, Microsoft Severs, Active Directory, VMware, Red Hat Linux, Cisco, & TCP/IPCollect & deliver data including antenna radiated power readings, cable sweep results, channel alignments, network connectivity, network uptime, ip traffic analysis, wireshark, etc.Proficient w/ using various test equipment: Communications Monitor, T1 Test Sets, Antenna Analyzers, IP Network Analyzers, Laptop, SSH, FTP, Telnet, Cisco & Linux command line, etc.Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. on a regular basisMust have a valid Driver's license. This role requires a current clean driver's license to drive daily to customer sites to work on technical issues. These sites are in various locations. Scope of Responsibilities/ExpectationsProvide technical support of specialized communications systems & product applications. Performpreventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation w/ focus on trend analysis &thorough documentation of results. Advanced troubleshooting of software driven electronics,provisioning of communications system infrastructure & performance optimization of RF, Microwave, ITSystems including, but not limited to:Legacy Analog Radio SystemsAdvanced Digital P25 SystemsIT systems with VMware and Cisco NetworkingThe Systems Tech (ST) will be able to support being on call as well if required to support trouble calls 24/7 on the week that it is their assigned turn. The ST will have to respond to calls at any hour of the day. Therefore, the ability to drive at night & in remote areas is a requirement for this role. A Company vehicle may be used by ST to carry out their duties.
