As a Tower Tech at RL Clotworthy Construction Inc., you will be integral in the installation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment at various cell sites. Working alongside major carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Dish, your role is essential in ensuring adherence to stringent safety and quality standards while meeting the evolving demands of clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safely perform maintenance and installation tasks on wireless telecom sites, including installing antennas, pulling power and fiber, etc.
- Assist crews in efficiently completing new builds and modifications (MODS) while maintaining a focus on safety.
- Provide mentorship to new or less experienced technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness at work sites and ensure company property is well-maintained.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with power tools, hand tools, and fiber testing equipment.
- Familiarity with aerial lifts, man lifts, and aerial platform equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.

- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or related trade school education.
- 1 year or more of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry or construction.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification

- Injury and Illness Prevention Program (I2P2)
- First Aid/CPR (2 Years)

Physical Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug testing.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Company requirements if driving is necessary.
- Good physical condition to perform duties. Ability to pull own body weight, plus equipment weight, up a vertical tower to 500 feet repeatedly for long periods. Capability to reach, climb, and grasp ladders or other tall structures.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to work long and unpredictable hours.
- Ability to travel away from home up to 75% of the time, including weekends and extended periods, as needed per site. Travel may include local or national travel depending on business needs. Travel requirements are determined on a site-by-site basis.
