Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, install, and secure drywall panels using hand tools and power tools to ensure accurate fitting according to construction plans and schematics
- Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings to execute drywall installation with precision
- Apply drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and finishing techniques to achieve seamless surfaces ready for painting or further finishing
- Repair damaged drywall sections, perform patching, and restore surfaces following water damage or other incidents
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site
- Follow construction safety regulations diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols during all phases of work
- Assist with framing, metal stud framing, ceiling installation, trim carpentry, and fixture hanging as needed to support comprehensive project completion
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall installation, drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and repair within construction environments
- Strong knowledge of construction plans, schematics, blueprints reading, and interpreting technical drawings
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as knives, t-squares, taping knives; power tools including drills and screw guns; airless paint sprayers; tile saws; caulking guns; and other relevant equipment
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and the ability to follow safety protocols consistently
- Construction estimating skills are a plus for understanding project scope and material needs
- Experience with related trades such as plastering, framing (metal stud or wood), flooring installation, remodeling projects, or restoration industry work is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently on construction sites while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance
