Position Summary

In this role, you will support all business units with reporting products (Microsoft Power BI and Cyberquery). This will include building automated reports to increase efficiencies, training internal clients on Power BI, supporting existing reporting content, and help in building new reporting product lines. Our ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset who understands the business needs of all departments, is comfortable communicating with non-technical stakeholders, has critical attention to detail, and a drive to constantly learn. This role will be part of the finance/accounting team and will report directly to the CFO.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and support data sets in Power BI and Cyberquery
• Collaborate with teams to integrate disparate data sources
• Develop and execute queries and conduct ad-hoc analyses
• Design and implement efficiency reports using Cyberquery Qdirector
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
• Extracts data from source systems and, where applicable, builds automation routines.
• Conducts analysis and builds meaningful reports and visualizations or dashboards for consumption by multiple stakeholders.
• Assists team leader and department leadership in identifying opportunities and requirements.
• Works closely with FPA partners on package/dashboard design and to validate business requirements and data integrity.
• Works closely with IT partners to ensure the data framework continues to meet the requirements.
• Prepare, maintain and report internal and external financial records
• Support management on product analyses and market research
• Prepare budgets and forecasts models that will allow management to make informed decisions to secure the financial viability and vitality of the Credit Union
• Maintain an accurate financial reporting method that is in compliance with GAAP, regulations, management and investor requirements

Qualifications

• Masters preferred with degree in finance, accounting, or business with strong competencies in business intelligence tools.
• Expert in field with 15 years of experience in financial modeling and relevant report manipulation.
• Company Leader with proven ability to take initiative and be innovative.
• Experience with Power BI and Cyberquery Data Modeling
• In-depth understanding of database management systems and an analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
• Vast experience creating and understanding financial statements
• Well rounded business mind and keen understanding of how a business operates, from accounting and finance all the way to operations and executive decision making
• Identify actionable intelligence such as bottlenecks or negative trends that is communicated in an easily accessible method to users across the organization.
• Proactively identify resource needs and develop models to effectively distribute workload in the most economical way.
• Conduct analysis to support corporate goals and objectives through targeted action in each business unit
• Conduct analysis and exploration to identify areas for improvement and support broader case management improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with other teams including upstream and downstream business units to ensure data insights generated within Operations are shared across the organization and drive continuous improvement in the overall process flow.
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships across different divisions within the entire company
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to articulate complex concepts into a format digestible by a diverse audience.
