This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This is an Interdisciplinary Engineer GS-13 position with US Army Engineer District, Little Rock Operations Division Hydropower Support Branch, located in Little Rock, AR. This position can be filled in one of the following series: 0801, 0810, 0830, 0850.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing 2 out of the 3 following duties: 1) Evaluating construction or facility operations & maintenance project processes for possible areas of improvement with respect to quality, cost, and schedule; OR 2) Resolving highly difficult technical and administrative project problems using conflict resolution principles; OR 3) Managed a large size facility performing facility manager duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
