Diesel Mechanic (3+ years experience required)

Overview
Pay will be based off training, experience, and knowledge. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software diagnostics and equipment repair, with experience in servicing diesel engines. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of primarily Peterbilt tractors and trailers, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
• Conduct software diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Fabricate and assemble parts as needed for various repairs.
• Utilize hydraulic systems knowledge to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components.
• Operate lifts and other heavy machinery safely during repair processes.
• Collaborate with mechanics, dispatchers, and driver to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Assist in heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in a dealership or service environment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, systems, and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems relevant to diesel engines is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications or training in diesel mechanics is preferred.
