Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee roofing site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans for accurate execution.
- Utilize construction management software such as Company Cam and Roofr to streamline project workflows.
- Supervise project teams on-site; manage staffing levels, assign tasks, and foster effective communication across all stakeholders.
- Ensure all construction regulatory compliance requirements are met prior to starting job.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, safety adherence, and resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing residential roofing jobs, large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects; familiarity with managing complex projects is essential.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to pull a trailer.
- Must be familiar with roofing materials, machinery, tools, equipment, safety protocals, and have basic knowledge of roofing.
- Must work well with others while also having leadership skills.
- Must have organizational skills as well paying attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of roofing and construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies applicable to heavy civil or infrastructure work.
- Ability to learn project management software including Company Cam, Roofr, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Hands-on construction site experience combined with excellent project scheduling and coordination skills.
- Experience with construction plans.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams within a construction management role; excellent communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of contracts management and negotiation strategies related to construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively; time management is critical for success in this role.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), OSHA safety certifications or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
