Responsibilities
What You'll Do
The purpose of the Staff Accountant is to provide management of financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and assisting in preparing financial statements.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Support the monthly close process, providing insight and analysis on variances from budget and prior periods
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statement to maintain accurate financial records
- Aid in budgeting process by providing necessary financial data and analysis
- Assist with requests for documentation and explanations of financial results
- Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency
- Use discretion and independent judgement in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- May be required to cross train and complete other duties as needed
Qualifications
Essential Qualities for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Physical Requirements
- Good visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively.

The pay range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annualized. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
