Description
RK Pharma Inc, a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company headquartered in NJ, is seeking an Compounding Associate to work with our growing Manufacturing Team as we scale towards commercial manufacturing in the next upcoming months. As a company focused on the development, manufacturing and sale of high quality and affordable generic pharmaceutical products worldwide we are looking for sharp, driven, self-directed individuals to help us grow our mid-stage start-up team.
This position is located in East Windsor, NJ and is required to be onsite.
Requirements
If this sounds interesting to you, it's probably because up to this point you have:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a science or technical field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or compounding under GMP conditions.
- Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and safety regulations (OSHA).
- Experience preparing batch records, measuring raw materials, and handling weighing, blending, and mixing equipment.
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments, aseptic techniques, and gowning procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret SOPs, MBRs, and batch records accurately and consistently.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort operating automated or semi-automated production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to product quality and compliance.
The main expectations and responsibilities for this position are:
- Prepare and compound formulations by accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing raw materials according to batch records and SOPs.
- Operate and maintain mixing, blending, and transfer equipment while ensuring adherence to GMP and safety standards.
- Document all production activities in real time and verify entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform line clearance, equipment cleaning, and area sanitization to maintain compliance and prevent cross-contamination.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Production Supervisors to resolve deviations, discrepancies, or material issues.
- Assist in equipment setup, calibration, and minor troubleshooting during compounding operations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in process efficiency, yield, and safety.
