Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Shop/Mechanic Assistant to support our technicians and help keep our shop running efficiently. This role includes assisting with basic mechanical tasks, maintaining tools and equipment, keeping workspace clean and organized. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning mechanical skills and gaining hands-on experience in a shop environment. The hours of this position are expected to be Full Time M-F 7am-3:30pm.
Responsibilities
· Assist mechanics with repairs, maintenance and installations
· Clean and organize the shop, tools, and work areas
· Move vehicles/equipment in and out of the shop as needed
· Pick up or deliver parts and supplies
· Help maintain inventory of tools and parts
· Dispose of scrap materials safely and maintain shop cleanliness
· Follow safety procedures and shop guidelines
· Perform other shop-related duties as needed
Requirements
· Basic mechanical knowledge preferred but not required
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus)
· Reliable, punctual, team-oriented and willing to learn
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in a mechanic shop, construction or warehouse
· Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools
· Interest in learning automotive or mechanical repair
