Manager in lawncare

We are looking for a Lawncare Department Manager to Join our Team at RJS Property Maintenance. This position is in managing our lawn care department including mowing crews and fertilizing weed spraying and helping to manage snow removal season in the winter months. We have 28 years’ experience doing: lawn care services, landscaping, irrigation
installation & maintenance and fertilizing and weed control snow removal and salting in the east and northeast metro area.

This is a full time position working 40-45 hrs per week on average depending on season and work load. Summer months are Mon thru Fri and winter months can vary if snow requires other times.

Qualifications

· 2 years of management/leadership experience is required, preferably experience in a Lawn Care or landscape maintenance, construction, facilities, logistics, service industry.

· Strong customer service skills.

· Good and clear communication skills

· Good organizational skills

· Mechanical equipment basic maintenance skills/ knowledge

· Positive attitude and strong work ethic: Must be: Driven, Accountable, and
Self-motivated, willing to learn new things

· Ability to work with the crews and display strong positive leadership.

· Reliable transportation to work every day. Valid
AND Clean driver’s license (no major offenses in the past 3 years)

Responsibilities

· Working closely with Management team and owner timing and needs, clear lines of
communication

· Dealing directly with customers

· Job bidding for potential new customers as well as current customers.

· Daily Directing and Supervising of lawn or landscape crews and snow removal crews

· Organize and plan each day for teams in including
routes

· Check in with Crew leaders throughout the day with occasional field
visits

· Communication and organization with lawncare crews and problem solving

· Equipment maintenance, Basic Mechanical skills.

· Ability to drive trucks & trailers, loading trucks and trailers
in a safe manner.

· Ability to help a lawn crew (jump on a mower or use a trimmer if
needed)

· computer knowledgeable using emails, spread sheets, word documents, online ordering, creating job lists, etc.

· Wintertime Management
of snow plowing services, answering calls from customers, communication with
crews on carrying out requests of the customer ensuring that the task has been
completed, checking in with plow drivers during a snow event, being able to
trouble shoot potential problems and help in getting them solved or equipment
fixed.

· Possibility of operating a plow- truck, skid steer or front-end
loader if needed to help crews .

· Full time Salary Position Pay ( Starting at $58,000 per year) pay will be based on work experience and production and independence of running departements level.
