Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated and dry van trailers on designated routes.
- No touch freight.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to reach delivery destinations on time while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle’s safety and compliance with DOT standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or issues encountered during transit.
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record, demonstrating a minimum of 2 years experience in commercial truck driving.
- Proven experience with route driving, delivery driving, and freight transportation in various environments including refrigerated and dry van trailers.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to hours of service, load securement, and safety protocols.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems confidently while maintaining focus on road safety at all times.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and transportation safety standards to ensure compliance during all phases of delivery.
