Title: Commercial Refrigeration Technician
Location: Rockland County, NY
Salary: $35.00-$50.00 per hour w/ overtime. Some flex on pay-rate considered based on candidate experience.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, will require some occasional flexibility

Overview: Client Company is hiring an experienced commercial refrigeration technician with strong, hands-on supermarket refrigeration experience. This position is for a technician who can independently diagnose rack-system problems, perform major repairs, and take responsibility for getting systems operating correctly.
Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair supermarket refrigeration rack systems and connected cases, coolers, and
freezers.
• Perform compressor replacements, system evacuation and charging, leak detection and repair, and
major component replacement.
• Troubleshoot expansion valves, solenoids, defrost systems, evaporator and condenser fan motors,
pressure controls, sensors, and refrigeration controls.
• Identify the actual cause of failures and complete reliable repairs instead of temporary fixes.
• Lead service calls independently and determine the correct repairs and parts needed to restore
operation.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial refrigeration experience, including extensive work on
supermarket parallel rack systems.
• Strong experience with low- and medium-temperature racks, walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins,
display cases, evaporators, and condensers.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex refrigeration problems involving compressors, oil
controls, safeties, contactors, valves, controls, and electrical components.
• Experience diagnosing system pressures, temperatures, superheat, subcooling, oil levels, floodback,
high discharge temperature, and compressor failures.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Able to work independently and manage commercial service calls from diagnosis through completion.
