Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
- Prepare and maintain the dental operatory by ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Take digital X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Support patients with a gentle approach in general dentistry.
- Perform administrative tasks such as managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant Plus.
- Familiarity with dental software systems (Dentrix ) is a plus.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices in a dental clinic setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to assist in both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
