Job Summary
RJ Powersports in Ottumwa is looking for a motivated, dependable Salesperson to join our growing team. This role is responsible for helping customers select the right powersports vehicle for their needs.
We sell ATVs, side-by-sides, and motorcycles. The right candidate is someone who enjoys talking with customers, follows process, and takes pride in closing clean, accurate deals.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Experience
- Greet customers promptly and professionally
- Assist customers in selecting new and used units that fit their needs and budget
- Present features, benefits, and value of products clearly and honestly
- Follow up with leads, calls, texts, and showroom guests
- Maintain strong product knowledge of units and promotions
Deal Process & Paperwork
- Work with management to structure deals
- Accurately complete customer paperwork and required documents
- Ensure deals follow dealership policies and procedures
- Coordinate with finance, parts, and service departments as needed
Showroom & Daily Duties
- Keep showroom units clean, organized, and properly tagged
- Help maintain a professional and welcoming showroom appearance
- Assist with events, promotions, and special sales as scheduled
- Participate in training and product updates
Qualifications
- Sales experience preferred (automotive or powersports a plus, but not required)
- Strong communication and people skills
- Reliable, punctual, and coachable
- Go Getter mentality
- Comfortable using computers and dealership software
- Ability to work Tuesday–Saturday
- Valid driver’s license
