RJ Murray Co., Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team. This is a fast-paced, critical role where you will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues primarily with Carrier equipment, with a special focus on ductless systems. While expertise in ductless systems is preferred, a willingness to learn about all HVAC systems is a must. You’ll collaborate closely with Carrier Factory personnel to process warranty claims, stay updated on product knowledge, and provide training, sales support, and customer service.

Your Role as Technical Support Specialist
As a Technical Support Specialist, you’ll be providing essential technical support to dealers and contractors via phone, email, and site visits. Your expertise will assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing Carrier systems, focusing on ductless technology. You will also back up the Service Manager and Controls Specialist, conduct training, and ensure that our customers receive top-tier service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support to dealers and contractors for Carrier equipment (focus on ductless systems).
- Assist with start-ups, ensuring systems are installed and functioning correctly.
- Back up the Service Manager and Controls Specialist as needed.
- Offer expert guidance and support to ensure customers’ systems run efficiently.
Training & Development:
- Attend product training sessions (on-site and off-site) and stay up-to-date with new Carrier products.
- Design and conduct technical product training classes for dealers and contractors (including evening sessions).
Sales Support & Customer Service:
- Support the sales team with technical assistance for sales-related activities.
- Deliver excellent customer service to help resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
What You Need to Succeed:
Qualifications:
- 5-20 years of experience in the Residential and Commercial HVAC industry. Electronics experience is helpful.
- Technical support and field service experience required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with software systems.
- Ability to build relationships with customers and work well with a team.
- A "never give up" attitude, with a passion for solving problems.
- Career-oriented, with growth potential to advance to Service Manager or Controls Specialist.
