Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial driving and delivery driving. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service while operating a 3500 dually with a 40ft dovetail gooseneck.
Duties
- Safely operate assigned vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when required.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly for safe transport.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being early, courteous and professional.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Experience with 40ft dovetail gooseneck is required.
- Proven track record of safe driving with no major violations or accidents.
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed based on delivery schedules.
