Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to transport medical items across designated routes
- Load and unload shipments efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery by following planned routes and adhering to scheduled timelines
- Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks with proper technique to maintain safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and route logs for accountability and tracking purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Proven delivery driver experience, especially in courier or route driving roles involving medical or sensitive items
- Ability to operate box trucks with manual transmission; familiarity with heavy lifting, moving, forklifts, and pallet jacks is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with healthcare staff and clients
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling shipments efficiently
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to transporting medical supplies and handling hazardous materials if applicable
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and maintain punctuality throughout scheduled routes
