Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Maintenance Technician can identify and diagnose problems quickly and perform the necessary steps to correct the problem.   This person has diverse and strong maintenance skills, great customer service, and strong verbal communication skills. Availability to work weekends is required.

Essential Functions

Conduct routine general maintenance procedures at property(ies).

• Diagnose & perform minor and routine maintenance/repair in a timely and professional manner.
• Pick up debris around community.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment in good working order. 
• Assists with other assigned projects. 
• Non-essential duties include other job-related duties as assigned. 

Basic skill sets for general upkeep of property(ies), including, but not limited to: 

• Painting
• Basic Plumbing
• Pressure washing
• Basic electrical knowledge, for light, ballast, and plug change outs
• Basic irrigation system knowledge
• Light wood working
• Drywall repairs

Education Required - High School Diploma or GED.

Experience Required - Maintenance – 2 years

Supervisory Responsibilities - N/A

Work Environment 

• Weekend availability is required.
• Must be able to perform repetitive body mechanics, including but not limited to, climbing a ladder,

standing, stretching, twisting, bending, crouching, and kneeling.

• Prolonged standing, 
• Variable combination of outdoor and indoor environments while performing maintenance duties.
