Plant Manager - Extrusion

Position Summary
An experienced and hands-on Plant Manager is needed to oversee extrusion operations at a plastics manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. This role manages production, safety, quality, and personnel while driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and performance excellence across all areas of the plant.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily extrusion and compounding operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency

• Lead and develop supervisors and team members across production and maintenance

• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives in extrusion and material handling

• Manage budgets, schedules, and workflow to meet operational and financial goals

• Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations

Key Skills

• Strong leadership and team development abilities

• Proven expertise in extrusion, compounding, and polymer processing

• Demonstrated success in production management and process improvement

Education & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)

• 7 years of plastics manufacturing experience with at least 3 years managing extrusion operations

• Working knowledge of ERP systems, safety standards, and process optimization techniques
