Responsibilities:
- Manage and analyze data related to physical assets like infrastructure (roads, utilities) for municipal and transportation agencies
- Develop, edit, and maintain GIS datasets, ensuring data accuracy and quality control.
- Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
- Integrate GIS data with asset management systems (like Trimble Unity or formerly Cityworks) and other relevant databases.
- Produce maps, reports, and dashboards using GIS data and analysis results.
- Support and configure GIS software, including ArcGIS Online and Portal.
- Assist or oversee field data collection using GPS and mobile apps.
- Create and maintain documentation for GIS workflows and metadata.
- Provide training and technical assistance to other internal or client team members on GIS and asset management practices.
- Support GIS-related projects and collaborate with other internal and client teams and departments.
- Transform and integrate new and existing data to evaluate asset performance and support strategic goals.
- GIS application development and application maintenance/upgrades
- ArcGIS server web application development and maintenance
- Develop and/or enhance custom GIS web applications, scripts, spatial data and layers using multiple developing languages and scripting languages.
- Develop ESRI Survey123 and Collector applications
- Code using ESRI GIS developer tools and Python
- Identify areas for improvement in design, performance optimization, development process, workflows, and tools/technologies.
- Streamline data management and security features
- Develop online training manuals
- Train end users on application use
- Participate in weekly or monthly progress meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, or environmental science from an accredited college with 10 or more years of relevant professional experience. A degree in engineering, related field, is highly desirable.
- Experience in asset management software for transportation and infrastructure agencies e.g. Trimble Unity or formerly Cityworks
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API’s, ArcGIS JavaScript API, ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, Collector, ArcSDE and ArcGIS Mobile.
- Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python
- Experience in ESRI Survey123 and Collector Apps application development projects.
- Experience with the ESRI toolset, SQL Server, and Google.
- Produce, diagnose, and troubleshoot asset management dashboard data issues, maps, and reports, using GIS data and analysis results.
- Experience integrating Google Maps in Web applications.
- Experience securing data transfer via Web Services.
- Experience creating supporting documentation for technical projects.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
