Help Shape the Future of Travel in North America
At Riviera Travel, we create unforgettable travel experiences through our award-winning river cruises, escorted tours and escorted holidays. With a rapidly growing presence in North America, we are investing in our future and looking for an exceptional Finance Business Partner to help drive the next phase of our growth.
This is not a traditional finance role focused solely on reporting numbers. We are looking for a commercially minded business partner who can turn financial data into meaningful insight, influence strategic decisions, and help shape the future direction of our North America business.
As the dedicated finance partner to our North America leadership team, you will work at the heart of the business, collaborating with senior stakeholders across marketing, sales, contact centre operations and commercial teams. You will have a genuine seat at the table, helping leaders make informed decisions that support growth, profitability and long-term success.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to build, shape and define how finance supports our North America operation. You won't be stepping into a well-established framework. Instead, you will use your experience, commercial judgement and business partnering skills to create real impact from day one. You will become the trusted financial advisor to the North America leadership team, participating in key leadership, commercial and operational meetings while providing both support and constructive challenge where needed.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Act as the primary Finance Business Partner for the North America leadership team
- Deliver financial insight and commercial recommendations that drive better decision making
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities
- Build financial models and investment cases to support growth initiatives
- Identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to improve performance
- Evaluate commercial activities and return on investment across key business areas
- Strengthen financial governance, reporting and decision-making processes
- Partner with sales, contact centre, marketing and operational teams to improve commercial outcomes
- Build strong connections between the North America business and UK finance teams
- Support continuous improvement and the development of a commercially focused culture
What We're Looking For
We're interested in talented finance professionals who are as comfortable influencing senior leaders as they are analysing financial data.
You'll ideally bring:
- Qualified Accountant status (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or a similar strategic finance role
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling expertise
- Experience translating complex financial information into practical business recommendations
- Confidence working independently and building credibility with senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Power BI, reporting tools or finance systems would be advantageous
- Experience supporting North American operations, including familiarity with US and/or Canadian accounting practices, local tax considerations and regulatory requirements, would be beneficial.
- Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can operate independently, influence confidently and become a trusted advisor to the leadership team while balancing support with appropriate challenge.
What's In It For You? This role offers exceptional visibility, influence and career growth potential.
Alongside a competitive salary and benefits package, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Work directly with senior leadership teams in both North America and the UK
- Influence key strategic decisions
- Shape a newly created role and leave your mark on the business
- Join a growing international travel company with ambitious plans
- Develop your career within a collaborative and supportive culture
