JOB Rivier University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Undergraduate Nursing. Reporting to the Dean of Nursing and Health Professions, the Assistant Professor is responsible for providing instruction and support to prelicensure nursing students within the Division of Nursing and Health Professions at Rivier University.

This position reports to: Direction and general supervision are received from the Director of Undergraduate Nursing Education and the Dean of Nursing and Health Professions.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- The candidate must possess a a strong interest and enthusiasm for teaching, mentoring and engaging nursing students in Medical-Surgical (high-acuity) nursing theory, Fundamentals of Nursing theory, Health Assessment.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong clinical expertise and simulation experience in Medical-Surgical (high-acuity) nursing, Fundamentals of Nursing, and Health Assessment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both within the department, throughout the University community and within the clinical settings outside of the University.
- Candidate must engage in on campus presence, hold on campus office hours and participate in departmental and University wide committees.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required as some teaching is required in both the day BSN and ASN evening programs.
