Packaging Operator (7p-7a, rotating schedule)

Job Responsibilities

1. Adhere to packing schedule
2. Report accurate information on production reports at end of each shift
3. Monitor auxiliary dryer profiles making necessary adjustments as needed
4. Monitor QC data making necessary adjustments to blending as needed
5. Operate a forklift to move product on occasions
6. Manually scoop product during rework
7. Perform other duties throughout the plant as required by supervisor

Job Knowledge

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent
• Preferred some experience working in a related manufacturing packaging environment

• Forklift
• Packaging equipment

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Ability to wear safety personal protective equipment
• Eyesight either natural or corrected must be sufficient to work safely in daylight or dimly lit conditions 
• Hearing natural or corrected must be sufficient to work safely
• Must be able to speak loudly and clearly enough to be heard over plant background noise
• Strength and ability to lift and handle objects weighing 50 lbs
• Ability to work in various positions including stooping, bending, sitting and walking
• Must be able to communicate effectively with plant personnel 
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Ability to work independently as required, as well as assist other personnel.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to high level of noise
• Occasional extremes of heat and cold climate
• Able to work 12-hour schedule shifts and overtime as required
