Vehicle Test Driver

Safely operate test vehicles in a wide range of testing conditions. - Follow detailed instructions for vehicle and component preparation to begin testing. This may include but is not limited to full visual inspection of vehicle including tires, glass, body panels and interior.
Collect data through various data acquisition systems and communicate in accordance with customer protocol. Document tests, repairs, and configurations in descriptive and understandable notes. Able to drive safely in various conditions, follow policies and take ownership for working safely to avoid risks to self and others.

• Mileage accumulation driving for test vehicles.
• Assist with ad hoc driver requests from various engineering depts.
• Support 24/hr driver requests by working in shifts.
• Over the Road Durability Testing.
• Evaluation of vehicles upon commissioning.
• Obtain necessary certifications to drive test vehicles on closed courses and public roads.

• 5 years in a similar role, with a track record for responsible and safe driving.
• Off-Road/Racing drivers training/experience a plus.
• Durability/professional driving background preferred.
• Able to complete consistent circuits of a development plan and provide sufficient documentation of time and mileage (vehicle data logging).
• Great communication with the engineering community about vehicle conditions that change shift over shift.
• Ability to sit/drive for up to 8 hours consecutively.
