The Coordinator, Engineering Fleet position is responsible for ensuring the operational health, availability, and efficient allocation of a pool of company assets at our Irvine location. This role facilitates vehicle reservations for all engineering operations, manages asset maintenance and upkeep, and deploys software updates, while exercising sound technical judgment on prioritization in a dynamic, multi-team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain asset health, schedule workshop repairs, and monitor the condition of company vehicles as needed
- Manage reservation requests for engineering vehicles, serving the entire organization with transparent, fair process and communication
- Apply technical knowledge of vehicle software development to assess and prioritize reservation requests based on project urgency, testing requirements, and business impact
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all asset operations inquiries, providing guidance and status updates to internal stakeholders
- Coordinate and execute over-the-air (OTA) software updates across all managed vehicles
- Track and report on asset utilization, maintenance needs, and reservation trends to support operational planning and continuous improvement
- Coordinate logistics of vehicle movements and scheduling in collaboration with workshop and technical teams
- Identify opportunities to improve the reservation and asset management process for greater efficiency and transparency
- 2 years of experience in fleet management, test operations, vehicle software development, or a related technical field
- Experience with vehicle software deployment, asset health monitoring, or automotive maintenance workflows is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical judgment in dynamic operational environments
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with proven experience managing multi-team priorities
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
- Ability to work independently, suggest process improvements, and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional setting
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $85,600 - $107,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
