Role Summary
Rivian | Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks a Lead IT Auditor to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders in the delivery of impactful operational and integrated audits. As a vital member of the Internal Audit team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and investigating the company's most critical and intricate risks. You will be responsible for working with senior leadership to plan and execute audits that identify and address these challenges by leveraging investigative experience, professional skepticism, strong technical analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.
The position requires professional curiosity to analyze and test software/firmware development risks in order to provide senior leadership with the tools to make informed strategic decision making. Creativity with a focus on the applicability of audit objectives in a constantly evolving environment is paramount. In addition to effective communication skills and the cultivation of collaborative relationships with stakeholders; the ability to navigate ambiguity with a proactive approach to developing innovative solutions is essential. This role is located at our Palo Alto, California office with a flex schedule and reports directly to Director, Audit.
Responsibilities
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $149,700 - $187,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Responsibilities
- The planning and execution of operational and integrated audits, including reviews of business processes, process changes, and system implementations;
- Identification of risks and designing and executing tests of controls;
- Ensuring compliance with internal audit standards during the execution of audit projects;
- Evaluation and framing of audit observations within the appropriate business context, and development of practical recommendations that address stakeholder needs;
- Drafting of audit reports that provide useful insights to management;
- Monitoring and validation of the closure of management’s action plans
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, engineering, business administration or a related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with relevant software and/or firmware development technologies, tools, and processes.
- Knowledge of IT general controls, application controls, and cybersecurity principles
- Relevant audit certification is preferred (i.e. CIA, CISA, CFE, etc.)
