Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday

General Summary:
The Assistant Director of Outpatient Therapy supports the Director of Outpatient Therapy in the clinical, operational, and administrative leadership of Rivetus Rehabilitation's outpatient therapy services. This role helps ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting team development, operational efficiency, and program growth. The Assistant Director serves as a key leadership resource for therapists and staff at their home location. The position combines clinical expertise with leadership support to help advance Rivetus' commitment to excellence in rehabilitation services.

Essential Responsibilities
1. Operational & Leadership Support

• Participates in routine leadership meetings with the Agency Administrator to remain informed of operational, clinical, and compliance matters.
• Attends weekly IDT/Medicare Meetings to facilitate correct DC therapy plan.
• Assists site-DOT with and helps educate SNF staff on proper DC plan for therapy and determining outpatient appropriateness.
• Assists with implementation and oversight of agency goals, performance improvement initiatives, and strategic objectives.
• Inputs patient schedules into EMR system and ensures frequencies are maintained. Works with site scheduler to ensure all patients are added to schedule.

2. Clinical Oversight

• Provides screening of residents to determine appropriateness for therapy at discharge from skilled nursing facility.
• Provides patient evaluation and treatment services within the scope of licensure and discipline (PT/OT), in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensures delivery of high-quality, patient-centered outpatient rehabilitation services.
• Supervises licensed therapist assistants and support staff in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

3. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

• Supports compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements.

4. Team Development and Mentorship

• Supports mentorship and professional development of outpatient therapists, including assisting with onboarding and training of new clinicians.
• Promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence, and provide coaching and feedback to therapists to support clinical growth where appropriate.

5. Program Development & Clinical Quality

• Supports development of outpatient therapy programs and services
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives
• Supports patient outcome tracking and performance improvement

Qualifications
Education & Licensure

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's or Doctorate preferred).
• Must meet all educational, licensure, and state requirements for clinical practice in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred (three years preferred).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and operational analyses.
• Strong verbal communication skills to effectively lead, educate, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Working knowledge of outpatient therapy billing, Medicare regulations, and insurance reimbursement processes.
• Sound judgment and decision-making ability in analyzing problems and implementing solutions.
• Ability to provide care across diverse age populations, supported by appropriate education and clinical experience.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard office software preferred.
• Ability to travel to various facilities as needed; reliable transportation required.
