About the Role
We are seeking a Full-Time Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) or Medication Aide (MNA) to work our evening shift from 3pm to 11pm. You will provide direct resident care in a team-focused environment where our residents are at the heart of what we do.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care and assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting to promote health and independence.
- Assists with mobility and functional nursing care as defined by the nursing care plan, which includes transfers, ambulation, ROM, splint application, positioning, sit-stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, and whirlpool therapy.
- Develops professional relationships with residents, family members, co-workers, and supervisors, allowing for open communication based on mutual respect.
- Assists with assessments and treatment procedures, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, skin care, oxygen saturation monitoring, and administering oxygen.
- Follows Infection Control guidelines, including Standard Precautions, handling biohazardous materials, and isolation techniques.
- Is familiar with and assists with care protocols, including falls prevention, safety, elopement management, behavior management, skin integrity, bowel and bladder management, and nutritional and hydration needs.
- Accepts resident assignments and direction from the Nurse Leader, observes and reports any changes in physical or mental function, and demonstrates awareness of shared responsibilities for resident care needs.
- Understands and follows established facility protocols regarding Resident Rights, Abuse reporting, HIPAA, and emergency response.
- Encourages and assists residents in participating in social and recreational activities.
- Accurately documents the level of care provided, including LNA flow sheets and other data collection as defined by individual Care Plans.
