Riverwood Resort on the Gunnison (formerly known as Riverwood Inn & RV Park) is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual for Housekeeping duty on Friday through Sunday, with opportunities to earn additional income through Front Desk and Phone Support responsibilities. The Resort features a 16-room Inn and 29 RV sites.

As you can see from our recent Google reviews, we pride ourselves in developing relationships with our guests and helping them enjoy the quality experiences of Delta and the entire Western Slope of Colorado. While guests are relaxing at Riverwood, they should feel comfortable and connected to the outdoors. During the day, our housekeeper is the start of the show and the primary person a guest is likely to run into.
Position Details
Primary Role: Housekeeping Team Member
Secondary Opportunity: Front Desk & Phone Support for Additional Income
Hours per Week: Variable based on occupancy and seasonal needs
Pay Structure: Competitive hourly rate for housekeeping opportunity to earn additional income through front desk/phone duties
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, welcoming guest accommodations
- Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties including lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and stand for extended periods
- Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain and working both indoors and outdoors in various climates
- Friendly team player who genuinely likes people (important for guest interactions during cleaning and potential front desk duties)
- Ability to be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays during peak seasons
Primary Responsibilities - Housekeeping
Daily Housekeeping Duties:
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to resort standards between guest stays
- Change linens, make beds, and ensure bathroom cleanliness and sanitization
- Restock room amenities, supplies, and linens
- Vacuum, dust, mop, and maintain overall cleanliness of all guest accommodations
- Deep clean rooms as needed and perform seasonal cleaning tasks
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or special guest requests observed during cleaning
- Maintain housekeeping supply inventory and communicate needs to management
- Laundry
Secondary Income Opportunities
Remote Phone Support (Additional Pay):
- Optional on-call phone representative role during scheduled hours
- Answer guest inquiries, take reservations, and resolve issues over the phone
- Work from home and earn up to $200/week or $1/minute of talk time
- Be available for urgent resort issues during on-call periods
What We're Looking For
We want someone who takes pride in creating spotless, comfortable spaces for our guests while being open to learning additional skills that can increase their earning potential. Experience in housekeeping, hotel operations, or hospitality is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
