POSITION SUMMARY # Directs and coordinates the radiology diagnostic imaging services across the Riverwood Healthcare Center (RHCC) campus including both hospital and clinics. Manages the daily operations of the imaging department to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.# Works in collaboration with Director of Ancillary Services, Riverwood leadership and Radiology Medical Director to perform duties of supervisor within the department.# # # # POSITION QUALIFICATIONS # Education and Experience # Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program; currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); # BA/BS degree in science field or health administration preferred. # Five years# experience as a Radiologic Technologist required; Four years Leadership or management experience preferred. # # # License/Certificates # Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) # # # ESSENTIAL DUTIES # RESPONSIBILITIES: # Administrative Responsibilities: # Maintain appropriate knowledge and understanding of the Riverwood Health Care Center.# This knowledge includes the mission, values, policies, and procedures of Riverwood Health Care Center. Maintain awareness of developments in radiology services and health care that relate to job responsibilities, equipment, methods, procedures and integrate them into practice. Ensure that radiology operations are complaint with all state and federal requirements, regulatory agencies, and excellent standards of professional practice. EMR knowledge and competency including data mining for quality metrics and PI initiatives.# # # Develop, conduct, review, and audit quality metrics.# # Work in conjunction with Radiology Medical Director (RDR) and staff in planning, developing, and implementing policies, procedures, protocols and plans within the radiology departments and throughout RHCC.# Work with Chief Medical Officer on provider requests and concerns.# Participate in continuing education programs, meetings, training programs and related activities. Assume responsibility for self and staff in completing mandatory education requirements. Represents the department at administrative meetings/conferences.# Recommends after analysis, solutions of inter/intra-departmental coordination problems.# Works closely with and maintains rapport with staff and departments leaders in the hospital to ensure highest standards of quality.# Responsible for developing and preparing cost estimates and budget recommendations for annual departmental operating budget and maintaining budget within those guidelines. Responsible for submitting capital budget requests based off departmental needs and priorities. Participate in Riverwood Health Care Center staff development program: Work to meet departmental, professional, and personal goals. Understanding major job responsibilities. Promote formal and in-formal training of specific technics and equipment. Integrate the key performance I-CURE values and strategic pillars to meet major job responsibilities.# # Safeguard security and confidentiality of data/information according to HIPAA standards. Carry out duties in a safe manner and uses safety device to protect self and others.# Report safety hazards as appropriate. Supervise professional and support staff and delegate responsibilities appropriately. Complete annual performance reviews for direct reports and peers.
