Duties
- Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Monitor residents’ health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams.
- Engage in continuous learning about best practices in personal care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a related healthcare role is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
