Wellness Director - Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead the clinical operations of a senior living community in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing resident care services, managing clinical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassionate care.

The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who is organized, team-oriented, and passionate about serving seniors in an Assisted Living and/or Memory Care environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations of the community
• Supervise and support caregivers, med techs, and wellness staff
• Ensure quality resident care and compliance with state regulations
• Conduct resident assessments and care plan reviews
• Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, hospice providers, and families
• Manage medication administration systems and clinical documentation
• Participate in staffing, scheduling, and staff training initiatives
• Assist with surveys, audits, and incident investigations
• Promote a positive and professional work environment

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in the state of Alabama
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living
• Strong understanding of state regulations and resident care standards
• Experience managing and leading clinical teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with department leaders and families
• CPR certification preferred
