EDUCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The individual that fills this position must have a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. A current, valid Oregon driver's license and good driving record are required. Activities certification is not required for this position.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have the ability to work independently, maintain a cheerful disposition, and to motivate and inspire residents. Interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and a good imagination hold top priority for this job.
AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Under the authority of and directly accountable to the LED.
PROPER ATTIRE:
(Male): The responsibility of the employee is to provide and wear a long sleeved or short sleeved shirt with a collar. Appropriate business type slacks, no denim of any kind or color is allowed. Safe, close - toed and non-slip shoes. Tennis shoes, sandals, moccasins, clogs; or any other type of unsafe shoes are not permitted. A plain colored baseball cap, with or without the facility logo may be worn while driving the bus. The baseball cap may not be worn while in the facility. (Female): The responsibility of the employee is to provide and wear dress or casual business type slacks, no denim, an appropriate length skirt, blouse, business style sweater, business style pants suit, and safe closed- toed, non-slip shoes.
Tennis shoes, sandals, moccasins, clogs, or any other type of unsafe shoe, including high heels, may not be worn.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a part-time, hourly position. The Assistant Social Coordinator shall assist the Social Coordinator with the overall activities program. The primary responsibility will be driving the facility bus, providing courteous scheduled transportation to the residents. May also assist with outings, parties, holiday events, bingo, and programs as assigned by the LED. Required to lift up to 35lbs.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Read, understand, and abide by the Position Description, Positional and General Orientations, Statement of Service Standards, and all corporate and facility policies and procedures.
2. Have a basic knowledge of and comply with the facility's general and departmental safety rules.
3. Understand the basic fire safety rules and regulations and the employee's responsibility when responding to emergencies and fire drills.
4. Understand and adhere to all OSHA rules and regulations. Understand and have a basic knowledge of the MSDS material.
5. Arrive on time prepared to accomplish the position's established duties.
6. Maintain the facility bus, including, but not limited to, wiping the seats, sweeping, andꞏ
cleaning the windows.
7. Conduct a general safety inspection prior to driving the facility bus.
8. Coordinate the bus schedule and drive the residents to scheduled doctor's appointments, banking, shopping, and other trips as assigned by the LED.
9. Provide assistance and support to the LED to the Activities program.
10. Operate bingo and other games and activities as assigned by the LED.
11. Assist with planning, decorating, and cleanup of events as assigned by the LED.
12. Assist the LED with maintaining all activity rooms including fitness center, cinema room, community kitchens, multi-purpose room, activity storage, and all other game and activity areas.
13. Provide informative, professional, and effective facility tours, as needed and directed.
14. Coordinate the bus schedule and drive the residents to scheduled doctor's appointments, banking, shopping, and other trips as assigned by the LED.
15. Provide assistance and support to the LED to the Activities program.
16. Operate bingo and other games and activities as assigned by the LED.
17. Assist with planning, decorating, and cleanup of events as assigned by the LED.
18. Assist the LED with maintaining all activity rooms including fitness center, cinema room, community kitchens, multi-purpose room, activity storage, and all other game and activity areas.
19. Provide informative, professional, and effective facility tours, as needed and directed.
20. Promote and support all facility marketing and community awareness efforts.
21. Support and assist with all facility marketing and community functions.
22. Attend all departmental, facility, and other meetings and in services as required by the departmental supervisor.
23. Meet all new residents within your scope of service and assist them in the move-in and orientation process.
24. Maintain a friendly and warm resident relationship within the "family" spirit of the facility.
25. Complete all other appropriate duties as assigned. Adhere to the guidelines stated in the Employee Handbook.

Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour
