What are the responsibilities and job description for the Circulating RN (PRN) position at RIVERVIEW SURGICAL CENTER LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY: Assists in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures. Assists in overseeing patient care activities in surgery and maintains a high standard of safety for the patient and other staff members.
- Assesses patient condition before, during and after the procedure to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Responsible for maintaining sterile technique in the operating room to ensure patient safety
- Supervises any unlicensed assertive personnel in the operating room
- Responsible for ensuring that postoperative physician orders are communicated to the recovery room nursing staff for implementation
- Develops a plan of care and evaluates patient outcomes
- Maintains a safe and comfortable environment for the patient
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certificates/Eligibility: Current State R.N. license and BCLS, ACLS required, PALS preferred. Two (2) years experience as an operating room nurse preferred.
