What You’ll Do •Academic Instruction: Provide high-quality, engaging instruction across a variety of high school subject areas. •Data-Driven Instruction: Utilize meaningful assessments and student data to guide instructional planning and track progress. •Differentiation & Adaptation: Creatively adapt curriculum materials, assignments, and teaching strategies to meet the diverse and individual learning needs of students with complex language and cognitive disabilities. •Life Skills & Independent Living: Support the development of vital daily living, self-advocacy, and independence skills. •Social-Emotional Support: Foster a safe, structured, and compassionate classroom culture that prioritizes students' emotional well-being and positive behavioral growth. •Collaboration: Work proactively and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, including fellow teachers, therapists, and residential staff. What We’re Looking For •Bachelor’s degree in special education, General Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). •Demonstrated experience working with adolescents with learning disabilities, cognitive challenges, or language-based learning differences. •Strong background in differentiated instruction and data-driven teaching practices. •Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. •A patient, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to special education. •Location: East Sandwich, MA •Position Type: Long-Term Substitute Teacher (Per Diem) – High School •Salary Range: $35 to $45 per hour(commensurate with experience; Note: This position does not include benefits) •Duration: December 2026 – April 2027 •Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Ready to inspire the next generation?
