Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Lifeguard for the remainder of the summer season. We can have someone for just weekends (12-6 pm) or for the whole week (Tuesday-Sunday 12-6pm). As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests at the pool. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and development. Our pool season starts at the end of May and runs through the end of August.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all guests
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents that may occur
- Perform routine pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning and testing water quality
- Provide excellent guest service by assisting with inquiries and addressing any concerns
- Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and report any issues or repairs needed
- Administer first aid and CPR as necessary
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment as required
Experience:
- Must have current Lifeguard certification
- Previous experience in lifeguarding or related roles is preferred
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures is a plus
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues effectively
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
