Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support classroom educators in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, foster positive behavior, and contribute to the developmental growth of students across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities aligned with developmental goals
- Assist with classroom management to promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
- Provide direct care and supervision for children at all times during activities, meals, and rest periods
- Help with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs of infants and toddlers
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and learning spaces
- Assist in documenting student progress and communicating effectively with parents and staff
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
Experience
- High School diploma required
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior guidance strategies
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Childcare experience such as babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles is highly valued
- Certification or training in first aid is mandatory; we will assist to obtain the certification If not completed.
