RiverValley Behavioral Health Children’s Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Medical Provider to join our weekend care team. This role is ideal for a provider looking to contribute to the well-being of children and families while maintaining a flexible schedule.
The provider will offer pediatric medical services on an on-call, weekends-only basis, primarily for on-site patient assessments as needed. This includes performing histories and physicals, providing medical oversight for patients, and coordinating with hospital staff and other pediatricians privileged at the facility to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pediatric medical assessments, including histories and physicals, as needed on weekends.
- Provide medical oversight and consultation for pediatric patients at the Children’s Hospital.
- Be available on-call to respond to weekend patient care needs requiring in-person evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with the hospital’s multidisciplinary treatment team to support safe and effective care delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital, state, and federal guidelines for pediatric medical care.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of medical encounters.
Schedule:
- On-call weekends only (Saturdays and Sundays).
- On-site presence required only when patient assessments are needed.
Compensation:
- Competitive weekend rate, commensurate with experience.
Education and Experience:
- Licensed MD, DO, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in the state of KY.
- Pediatric or family medicine experience strongly preferred.
- Active DEA registration (or eligibility).
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
