The Server plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to provide residents and guests with the best possible dining experience and deliver Platinum Service® with each interaction.

Full-time Midday: 11am-7:30pm, 40 hours/week
Schedule: Every Monday, Tuesday Wednesday with Rotational Fridays & Saturdays
Part-time Evenings 4pm-7pm, average of 9 hours/week
Schedule:
Week 1: Sunday-Tuesday
Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
Part-time Mornings: 6:30am-9:30am, average of 12 hours/week
Schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Essential Job Functions
- Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
- Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
- Take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer questions regarding the menu.
- Follow sanitary regulations at all times.
- Provide Platinum Service with each dining experience.
- Set up meal trays, food carts and set up the dining room with utensils, salt and pepper, napkins, and clean common areas prior and after meals are served.
- Assist in checking resident trays before distribution.
- Pour hot and cold beverages for residents. Assist residents with opening their containers and condiments as needed. Pay special attention to resident and guest needs while they are enjoying their dining experience.
- Prepare and deliver snacks to special events and parties hosted at the community.
- Bus tables during and after the meals.
- Provide support services to other dining rooms, during events and activities as needed.
- Clean dining room area according to the cleaning schedules and assignments.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

- Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
- Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
- Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
- Communicate in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.
Education and Experience
- Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
- Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have direct reports or supervisory requirements.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Tasks assigned to this position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals.
Physical Requirements - The Physical activities of this position involve:
- Must be able to frequently lift/carry 30 lbs. and occasionally lift/carry 50 lbs. at times
- Must be able to frequently push/pull up to 30 lbs. and occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Bending/twisting/stooping
- Reaching at or below the shoulder
- Frequently standing or walking
Cognitive Requirements - The Cognitive activities with or without prosthetics of this position are:

Environmental Requirements - An individual in this position may be exposed to:
- May be exposed to heat from kitchen equipment and cold from kitchen freeze
Compensation: $15.50-$18.50/hour, based on experience
