We are currently hiring for a Sales Representative in the Central Illinois region covering Galesburg, Monmouth, Macomb, Peoria and surrounding areas from our locations in St. Augustine, Colchester, Carthage and Havana, IL. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest privately held aggregate rock companies in the nation. In this role, you will be able to utilize your skills to continue existing, and build new, relationships with contractors and industry contacts to help fulfill new and upcoming construction projects.

Major responsibilities include:
- Evaluate customer needs and build long-lasting relationships with customers and industry contacts.
- Handle customer inquiries timely and professionally, offer well thought out solutions to challenges.
- Selling construction aggregate products and ensuring satisfaction after the sale.
- Work with plant superintendents and customer service associates to assist with overseeing customer service matters at the plants.
- Provide sales projections - discuss sales forecasts, upcoming and current jobs, and inventories with superintendents.
- Utilize computer software such as JWS / APEX Jobfile and ticketing software, as well as Microsoft Office products.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and over 5 years outside sales experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Knowledge of construction aggregates preferred
- Ability to build and develop effective relationships
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Commitment to a high level of integrity
- Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and can work well in a team environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
