Commercial Cleaning Technician

Location: Sterling, VA
Pay: $17 per hour | Paid bi-weekly

About the Role

Riverstone Commercial Cleaning is a local commercial cleaning company serving offices, childcare facilities, gyms, and professional spaces throughout Northern Virginia. We are hiring dependable cleaning technicians for our constantly growing company.

This role is ideal for individuals who value consistency, take pride in detailed work, and prefer working independently or as part of a small, reliable team. Training is provided, and all procedures follow clear checklists and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional childcare environment, including but not limited to:

• Vacuuming all carpeted areas in classrooms, hallways, and common spaces
• Mopping all hard floor areas including classrooms, lobby, gym, and restrooms
• Cleaning and disinfecting toilets and sinks in restrooms
• Emptying trash cans and replacing liners throughout the facility
• Cleaning interior windows and glass surfaces
• Following daily checklists to ensure all areas are completed
• Maintaining organization of cleaning supplies
• Following site-specific access and security procedures
• Reporting issues or supply needs through our system

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should be:

• Reliable and punctual (consistency is critical for childcare facilities)
• Detail-oriented and able to follow checklists
• Comfortable working evenings in a professional childcare setting
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
• Comfortable using a smartphone for timekeeping and job checklists

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (I-9 / E-Verify)
• Must pass a background check
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Chantilly and Loudoun County area
• Available Monday - Friday evenings
• Professional conduct at all times (uniformed, respectful, discreet)
• No unauthorized photos or disclosure of client information

Preferred (Not Required)

• Prior commercial cleaning or custodial, janitorial experience
• Basic floor care experience (vacuuming, mopping)
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) applicants welcome
