Traffic Signal Technician

Riverside Traffic Solutions LLC
Duluth, GA Full Time
POSTED ON 8/10/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/7/2026
We are looking for a driven, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team as a Traffic Signal Technician.
Previous traffic signal experience is not required. While construction, electrical, or traffic signal experience is a plus, we believe work ethic, attitude, and character are more important than what is on your resume. We are willing to train someone who shows up ready to work, takes pride in what they do, and wants to build a career.

This is a hands-on, outdoor construction position involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems. The work can be physically demanding and requires someone who is comfortable working outside, working with their hands, and learning new skills.

Responsibilities:

-Assist with the installation and construction of traffic signal systems
-Install conduit, wiring, pedestrian equipment, signal heads, cabinets, and related equipment
-Perform underground and aerial traffic signal work
-Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
-Assist with troubleshooting and repairing traffic signal equipment
-Follow plans, specifications, and instructions from foremen and managers
-Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
-Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures
-Work effectively as part of a crew
-Take initiative and look for the next task rather than waiting to be told what to do
-Be willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities as skills develop

What We're Looking For:

We can teach the technical side of the job. We're looking for someone who brings the right mentality.
The ideal candidate:
-Shows up on time and ready to work
-Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing things correctly
-Is dependable and can be counted on by their crew
-Has a positive attitude, even when the work is difficult
-Is motivated to learn and improve
-Takes initiative and doesn't need to be constantly supervised
-Accepts constructive criticism and applies what they are taught
-Works well with different personalities
-Communicates effectively with supervisors and coworkers
-Understands that advancement is earned through performance, reliability, and continued learning
-Wants more than just a paycheck and is interested in developing a long-term career

Qualifications:

-Valid driver's license
-Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
-Ability to perform physically demanding construction work
-Comfortable working around traffic, construction equipment, and heights
-Willingness to work occasional overtime, nights, or weekends when projects require it
-Construction, electrical, CDL, equipment operation, or traffic signal experience is a plus, but not required
-Must be willing to learn and follow safety procedures

Experience:

No traffic signal experience? That's okay.
We would rather hire someone with zero experience who is dependable, hungry to learn, and willing to work than someone with years of experience who doesn't bring the right attitude.
If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, aren't afraid of hard work, and want to learn a skilled trade with opportunities to grow, we encourage you to apply.

Growth Opportunities:

Traffic signal construction is a specialized trade with many opportunities to develop valuable skills. Employees who demonstrate reliability, leadership, technical ability, and a strong work ethic will have opportunities to take on greater responsibilities and advance within the company.
We're looking for people we can invest in—not just people to fill a position.
