Position Overview:
This position is ideal for a college student or recent graduate interested in sports management, event operations, or facility management. The Sports Management Intern-Event & Facility Operations will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the facility and will be trusted to help run events and manage the facility during evening and weekend shifts.
This is a hands-on position with real responsibility and is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in sports.
Responsibilities:
- Open and close the facility for events, rentals, and practices on evenings and weekends.
- Set up and break down fields (goals, corner flags, benches, signage, etc.)
- Assist with game day and event operations
- Work concessions and merchandise sales during events
- Handle cash and operate point-of-sale system
- Clean and maintain locker rooms, restrooms, stands, and common areas
- Assist with light landscaping and general facility beautification
- Turn on/off lights, scoreboard, and other facility equipment
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for teams, officials, and renters
- Help ensure events run on schedule and the facility is event-ready at all times
Qualifications:
- Current college student or recent graduate (Sports Management, Event Management, Business, or related field preferred)
- Interest in working in sports or event management
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and be trusted to manage the facility during shifts
